With the opening of the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica on December 24, the Jubilee Year will officially commence. It will be twelve months of intense and event-filled celebrations, embracing the entire world and all categories of people: the sick, volunteers, journalists, artists, military personnel, missionaries, adolescents, families, youth, grandparents, priests, confraternities, workers, and entrepreneurs. An inclusive and participatory Jubilee aimed at fostering unity among people and nations.

The first event will take place from January 24 to 26, 2025, with the Jubilee of the World of Communication, specifically inviting professionals from the communication sector (journalists, media operators, executives and editors-in-chief, board members, videographers, graphic designers, copywriters, PR specialists, social media managers, audio and video technicians, printers, IT professionals, and more). On February 8 and 9, the Jubilee of the Armed Forces, Police, and Security Services will take place. These two days will emphasize the importance of security during a historical period filled with tensions and rampant crime.
Another significant moment will be the Jubilee of Artists, scheduled for February 15 to 18. February and March will also focus on deacons, missionaries, and spiritual reflection.
On March 8 and 9, an important two-day event will be dedicated to the Jubilee of the World of Volunteering. This will be an opportunity to assess the current state of a sector that is becoming essential for addressing emergencies in a time marked by international crises, poverty, wars, and natural disasters.
From April 5 to 6, 2025, the Jubilee of the Sick and the Healthcare Sector will be held to support those suffering from illness and those working in healthcare under challenging conditions.
From April 25 to 27, the spotlight will be on the Jubilee of Adolescents, coinciding with the end of the school year for many. Following this, the Jubilee of People with Disabilities will take place, emphasizing the importance of inclusion and eliminating any remaining barriers.
From May 1 to 4, the Jubilee of Workers will occur, followed by the Jubilee of Entrepreneurs on May 4 and 5. This symbolic handover will reaffirm the fundamental role of work for human dignity and the need for entrepreneurs to provide concrete answers in terms of safety and fair compensation.
An important moment will take place from May 12 to 14 with the Jubilee of Eastern Churches, fostering dialogue among religious traditions and faiths, continuing the interreligious conversations initiated by Pope John Paul II. From May 30 to June 1, the Jubilee of Families, Children, Grandparents, and the Elderly will celebrate intergenerational unity, central to individual growth.
Following the conclusion of the sports season, the Jubilee of Sport will occur on June 14 and 15, with athletes from various disciplines participating alongside celebrated champions contributing to the event.
From June 20 to 22, Rome will host the Jubilee of Leaders, emphasizing their immense responsibility in guiding the world toward the path of peace.
The highlight of the 2025 Jubilee Year will be from July 28 to August 3 with the Jubilee of Youth, focusing on the young people who hold the keys to the future.
As the Holy Door closes, the Jubilee of Migrants will take place on October 4 and 5, followed by the Jubilee dedicated to the Poor, Prisoners, and Educators—ensuring that those most in need receive the attention they deserve.
